Affected Others

Shared Identity. Shared Strength.

Countless individuals and families are impacted by multi-generational addiction or mental health concerns. “Multi-generational” can refer to active addictions, abuse or mental health issues in multiple generations of a family, or the persistence of social and emotional fallout related to a family history of addiction, abuse, or mental health issues.

Residual patterns that interfere with the health and well-being of the family are often transmitted through the generations when left unaddressed, even when active addiction, abuse, or mental illness is not present. At Champion Family Therapy, we work with individuals, couples, and the whole family to rebuild with a healthy foundation and restore functioning.

At Champion Family Therapy, we follow three basic steps when working with individuals, couples or families dealing with addiction:

EQUIP

We work to equip family members in crisis with the tools, resources, and support they need in order to initiate treatment for an addicted or traumatized loved one. Our team will come alongside each family member to address specific challenges with therapeutic interventions tailored to their needs.

PROVIDE

Our team provides insight on both sides of the issue, providing individual and family therapy to address unhelpful family patterns, strengthen boundaries, and teach effective communication. These wraparound services can include psychotherapy groups, wellness groups, life coaching, and case management when appropriate.

FACILITATE

We strive toward the repair of damaged relationships and restoring a sense of self to each individual. Helping our families to create a shared sense of identity focused on strengths, resiliency, and accountability that will serve as a solid foundation for continued growth is a major focal point.
