Available Positions

Mental Health Therapist

The Mental Health Therapist is responsible for the provision of effective, quality mental health treatment to our clients, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning and coordination of care with other providers.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Salary: $60,000+ /year based on experience and licensure

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or related field.

  • Licensure: Must be a post-grad Registered Associate or fully licensed in the State of Oregon as a LCSW, LPC, or LMFT.

Preferred Experience:

  • A minimum of two years working in direct treatment with individuals and families that included: evidence-based modalities, DSM-V diagnosis, impact of mental health issues on family systems, individual and family therapy modalities, crisis assessment and intervention, and caseload management.

  • Full time equivalent experience is desirable.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as a member of the integrated team.

  • Ability to relate effectively with youth, adults, community, and referral sources.

  • Knowledge of Systems Theory and experience with couples and families.

  • Ability to balance work and self-care to maintain a positive mental attitude.

  • Ability to provide evidence-based practices and other approaches that promote health and well-being.

  • Ability to communicate with and advocate for client with system partners.

  • Ability to effectively evaluate client progress and adjust treatment interventions as needed.

  • Ability to perform assessments and diagnosis, and write and maintain treatment plans, documentation, progress records, and discharge criteria in a timely manner.

  • Excellent communication skills with clients, colleagues, and administration.

  • Cultural sensitivity and ability to work with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations.

  • Ability to engage in respectful and collaborative problem solving.

  • Professional appearance appropriate to the position.

Specific Duties:

  • Provide a wide range of clinical services, including individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, case management, and consultation to referred clients.

  • Conduct diagnostic assessments and determine and develop treatment plans based on identified needs.

  • Maintain records in accordance with Champion Family Therapy standards.

  • Meet with supervisor for clinical and administrative supervision as directed.

  • Attend scheduled meetings.

  • Consult with teachers, parents, and other community professionals as appropriate.

  • Represent Champion Family Therapy interests to community professionals and may independently act as a liaison or consultant between the clinic and other agencies.

  • Participate in training and professional development activities to meet credentialing and program expectations.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
