Brianna Young,
Marriage and Family Therapy Intern
As an Intern, Brianna exclusively serves our clientele seeking cash-pay services on a pay-what-you-can sliding scale basis. Brianna enjoys providing therapy to couples, families, and individuals; she works with clients age 10 and up.
Brianna has always been fascinated by the stories people carry—how they shape us, hold us, and sometimes hurt us. Her path to counseling began with a deep curiosity about resilience and the healing that can happen when we feel truly seen. As she grew up, she felt a natural desire to be there for people when they were hurting—to listen with care and make them feel seen and heard. Over time, this pull toward meaningful connection grew into a calling: to walk alongside others as they navigate their pain, make sense of their experiences, and move toward wholeness.
Brianna is currently completing her graduate studies in Marriage and Family Therapy at George Fox University. She is passionate about working with individuals, couples, and families, and strives to create a space where clients can feel grounded, understood, and empowered.
Brianna is drawn to compassionate, experiential, and empowering approaches. She believes in honoring each client’s lived experience and walking with them at their own pace toward healing. Her clinical interests include life transitions, anxiety, depression, relational stress, and the impact of expectations on mental health. She is especially interested in the intersections of personal narrative and emotional processing, and she sees therapy as a collaborative space where clients can reconnect with their inner strength and values.
Brianna lives in Albany with her energetic kitten, Lantern, who keeps her on her toes and makes life a little brighter. Outside of clinical work, she enjoys writing poetry, hiking, and sipping peach green tea. She believes in the healing power of story, connection, and authenticity, and is honored to be a part of each client’s unique journey toward healing and growth.
