2026 Changes to Oregon Health Plan (OHP)

The Oregon Health Authority (OHA) has announced important changes to OHP coverage that will affect many members across the state beginning in early 2026. These changes involve shifting which coordinated care organizations (CCOs) administer OHP benefits in Lane County.

We know changes to insurance coverage can feel confusing or stressful. Our goal is to be transparent, keep clients informed, and support you in planning ahead for uninterrupted care whenever possible.

What Is Changing?

Beginning in 2026, Lane County OHP members who are currently covered under PacificSource Community Solutions will move to Trillium Community Health Plan as their CCO.

A CCO is the organization responsible for managing your OHP benefits, including behavioral health services.

Although OHA has not released an exact date, the transition is expected to occur around January 1, 2026.

What This Means for Care at Champion Family Therapy

At this time, Champion Family Therapy is not yet contracted with Trillium.

We are actively working through Trillium’s credentialing and contracting process, and our goal is to continue serving OHP members without interruption. However:

  • We do not yet have a timeline for when our contract may be approved.

  • Approval is not guaranteed, as Trillium’s credentialing process is long and varies from provider to provider.

  • Trillium’s process is lengthy, and many clinics across Oregon are going through the same system-wide transition.

We will update this page as soon as we receive new information.

What Will NOT Change

If you are covered under OHP Open Card, or if you qualify and request to switch to Open Card during this transition, your care with us will not be disrupted.

Champion Family Therapy remains fully able to serve OHP Open Card members.

Please contact OHP Customer Service for questions about Open Card eligibility or enrollment.

If You Currently Have OHP Through PacificSource Community Solutions

We want to be straightforward:

If your OHP coverage transitions to Trillium before our contract is approved, we may not be able to continue scheduling or providing services under your OHP benefits.

We understand how stressful insurance changes can be, and we are doing everything within our power to prevent gaps in care. As we receive more information, we will:

  • Update this webpage

  • Communicate with active clients in session

  • Help explore interim options when possible

Why This Process Takes Time

Becoming in-network with any Medicaid plan requires:

  • A detailed credentialing review

  • Contract negotiation

  • State-level verification

This is a statewide systems change, and many behavioral health agencies in Lane County are navigating similar delays. Demand for such changes becomes high during CCO transitions.

What We’re Doing Now

Champion Family Therapy is:

  • In active communication with Trillium and the Oregon Health Authority

  • Submitting required credentialing materials

  • Advocating for a timely and smooth transition

  • Developing contingency plans to support clients as best as possible

We are committed to continuing our longstanding service to OHP members.

Your Options

  • You may continue receiving services with your current PacificSource benefits until the state switches members over to Trillium.

  • If you are considering switching to OHP Open Card: This option may prevent disruption in your care at Champion. Eligibility varies, and we recommend contacting OHP Customer Service for questions or enrollment details. CFT cannot determine eligibility on your behalf, though your provider may be able to offer you support in this request.

We believe everyone deserves access to quality and consistent mental health care and we care deeply about our clients and this community. Our team is actively working with Trillium, PacificSource, and the Oregon Health Authority to minimize disruption for our clients. As soon as we have new information about our Trillium credentialing status, we will update this page and communicate with our clients.
